2024 Erie City Moms Christmas Party

Erie City Moms hosted its first Christmas party in December 2017 with a white elephant gift exchange between a handful of Mother Figures. Fast forward to Christmas 2023 and the nonprofit partnered with dozens of churches, businesses, and individuals to provide thousands of Christmas toys, winter gear, stocking stuffers, and personal items to 136 kids and 109 mother figures.

On Monday, December 2, 75 Moms will enjoy a festive meal, hear the Gospel, and shop for their families at a Free Toy Store packed with new gifts. Moms will also be blessed with a gift for themselves and a craft. Their kids–all 125 of them–will have a meal and Christmas experience.

BAKE

Sign up at ECMomsVolunteer@gmail.com. Drop off on Sunday, December 1 from 3-5pm at Boys & Girls Club, 1515 East Lake Road

• Treats to Eat! 40 dozen cookies and treats, including nut- and gluten-free varieties
• Cookies to Frost: 100 UNFROSTED 3-4” Christmas cutout sugar cookies (for DIY Cookie Decorating)
• Frosting: 4 cups EACH of white, blue, red, and green Royal Icing–enough for 100 kids to cover 100 3-4” cutouts.
• Tools: 20 large jars of sprinkles, 100 plastic knives, 100 Christmas paper plates, and 100 ziploc baggies (to send home cookies)

CRAFT

• 100 holiday cards to be signed and decorated by our kids and later delivered by Erie City Moms to local nursing homes

• 20 Child Care Volunteers–must have clearances; will help with DIY cookie decorating and other holiday activities
• 5 friends needed to help serve and clean up social hour and dinner
• 5 friends needed to help Moms’ complete a holiday craft
• 5 friends needed to help manage the Free Toy Store
• 10 people for service for sitdown dinner option–TBD
