Habakkuk

Why does God let bad things happen? Why does God let bad things happen to good people? Is it wrong—or even okay—to be mad at God? These are the kinds of questions the prophet Habakkuk asked in the book of Habakkuk. Living in a time of injustice and chaos, Habakkuk in the Bible cried out to God with raw honesty: “How long, O Lord?”

Through his questions and God’s responses, we see powerful examples of God’s sovereignty in the Bible. This short book helps us understand and explain God’s sovereignty—showing that even when life feels out of control, God is still just, faithful, and in charge.

This October at Grace, we’ll explore the book of Habakkuk together and discover that even when the world feels dark, God remains worthy of our deepest trust.
