GATHER & GROW: Boldly Devoted

What does it look like to be humbly and boldly devoted to Jesus as an American woman? Our culture pressures us to look, act, and live a certain way, an exhausting and unachievable standard that leaves us worn down. What we truly need is time and space in the presence of Jesus. Prayer, real rest, creativity, time in nature, a cup of tea, and God’s Word can feel like luxuries, but they are essential.

Gather and Grow is back for 2026, creating space to renew your soul and recommit to living boldly devoted. We’re creating space for you to renew yourself and recommit to living boldly devoted. Join us as we pursue Jesus, learning from Martha’s sister, Mary, that “the good portion” is found at the Lord’s feet.

Breakout Sessions

Opening the Scriptures

This session is designed to draw you deeper into the heart of God through the spiritual practice of scripture reading. Many of us want to read the Bible, but we’re not sure where to start or how to study. Together, we will open our Bibles and practice two effective methods of Bible reading that you can take with you to use in your daily My Chair time.

Engaging in Worship

This session is designed to draw you deeper into the heart of God through the spiritual practice of worship. Worship is more than music, it is a posture of the heart. Together, we will learn to worship in ways that you can take with you to use in your daily My Chair time.

Learning to Pray

This session is designed to draw you deeper into the heart of God through the spiritual practice of prayer. Too often, we feel guilty that we’re not praying often enough or well enough. The goal isn’t perfect prayers. The goal is communication. Together, we will practice two powerful methods of prayer that you can take with you to use in your daily My Chair time.

Finding My Chair

“Find your chair” is a phrase we’ve been saying for a long time at Grace church. The idea is simple: find a consistent place where you meet with God every day. Join Pastor Kerrie Grande as she helps you develop a “My Chair” practice that will help you grow in your capacity to discern God’s voice and follow His lead at the right time, in the right way.

Reflect & Grow

We’re making space for you to reflect, process, and lean into what God is speaking to you. This breakout offers three different mediums for reflection – creative, quiet, and connection. The creative space features crafting a scent with essential oils in a roller ball. The quiet space allows for silent reflection. And the connection space creates an opportunity for discussion. Facilitators will support you as you move into one or all of the three spaces at your own pace.
