Breakout Sessions:

Zeal without Burnout: Living Within Your God-given Limits – John Tiernan

Feeling overwhelmed by your never-ending to-do list? This session will help you come to grips with your God-given limits by changing your expectations, helping you make hard decisions to prioritize the important over the urgent, and having a greater sense of peace and acceptance with what you’re NOT getting done.

Getting Organized – Meghan Duda
Chronically late? Forget tasks or meetings? Wonder how some people squeeze more out of their day? Then, this class is for you! Join Meghan to learn how a mindset shift and Outlook can make you more organized and effective in ministry.

Tough Conversations Done Well: an Intro to Crucial Conversations – Andy Kerr
Crucial conversations have high stakes, involve varied opinions and high emotions. Handling these type of conversations poorly can strain relationships and lead to dismal results. Join Andy to learn how to speak honestly and to be heard so you can make the highest-quality decisions and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment.

Soul Keeping: Caring for the Most Important Part of You – Mike Watson
No one sets out to diminish the health of their own soul, but it happens! The inescapable truth is this: our soul's health drives everything that matters to us. It is foundational to who we are. In the end, everything about your life, your person-hood, is in some way a function of your soul. This session will offer you vital daily practices to nourish your inner life.

Creating a Compelling Vision - Brian Lusky
Join Pastor Brian in discussing the power of a compelling vision. Learn some practical tools for creating and casting a ministry vision that people will want to follow.

Life Groups:  The Church Inside the Church – Sarah Burtt
What does it mean that 'Life Groups should carry the freight of discipleship?'   I'm not a pastor, so what does Grace Church expect of me, the leader?  Sarah Burtt will offer some biblical insight and lead us in a group discussion.

Life Groups: Diatribo - Scott Michel
Dia-what???  Translated, this word means 'to rub-off on someone.'  Discipling isn't optional for us.  We're all in the business of being helped and helping others deepen our faith.  Pastor Scott Michel will talk about the biblical concept of intentionally and practically discipling our life group members with our lives, and not just our words.

Life Groups: Hero-makers – Jalonna Krueger
Do our life groups center around US?  If we're absent, does the group meet anyway, have meaningful discussion and effective prayer?   Do we teach and then shine the spotlight on others on our team, or do we work to keep our 'hero' designation?  Jalonna Krueger, GraceKids Director, will help us explore the 5 steps we can take to encourage our LG members to take an active role that spotlights their gifts, not ours.
